Over the weekend I commented on the incredible story of Afghani children living in the sewers in Rome. This morning the news reports the death of many illegal migrant Afghans crammed into a truck container fleeing to Iran. Another consequence of people smuggling over borders with devastating consequences.
Each refugee had been supposedly charged 375 dollars each to escape to Iran. And because of the demand criminal syndicates are turning from just smuggling drugs to smuggling people. Governments and law enforcement agencies must continue to act to stop this flow. Perhaps …
